Frequently Asked Questions
1) What happens in a session?
The first session starts with discussing your wants and aims for therapy, and the therapeutic contract, which outlines stipulations for the sessions, such as length, frequency, and confidentiality. Following this the session, and every other session, is yours to talk about whatever you like. As the session draws to a close the therapist will notify you approximately 10 minutes before the end. And thats it.

2) Is everything confidential?
Yes, counselling is confidential, it is one
of the ethics outlined by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). There are
some limitations to this, should you mention terrorism, money laundering, child protection issues or serious risk
to yourself or others.

3) How long are sessions?
They are one hour. They can not be extended past the agreed time.
You can book weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions, depending on your schedule.

4) What happens in the outdoor sessions?
Outdoor sessions are counselling sessions outside, to benefit from nature, such as a local park, woodland, or beach. These can be walking or sitting, depending on your wants. You would need to wear weather and location appropriate clothing, and arrange your own travel. If the weather is bad the session can be moved online.

5) How do I book?
Text or call 07753893668

6) Can we talk before I book?
Yes, we can have a 15 minute initial call, for free, to get to know each other, before you decide whether to book in or not.

7) What if I feel we do not click?
Chemistry is an important factor of counselling, and not all therapists and clients are a good fit for each other. If the chemistry is not right, we can talk about it and arrange a referral.

8) What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation requires 24 hours notice, or as much time as is realistically possible. Should sessions be cancelled, missed,
or start late, full payment is still required.
